I ran it like that up to the day I sold it. I never had problems from the smog pump, but from turning the engine into a big water pump (my engine was under water and I ran water and mud completely through the engine).

My opinion, from having done it(the smog pump), I wouldn't recommend it. It just isn't worth the downsides.... my .02 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

87 Tropper II, Supewinch Hubs, First big 4x4 test: pulled a 84 Mercury out of a muddy ditch while in park.
