What's wrong with you? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> Why in gods name would you want to give them warning? If you give them warning, they speed up and fill the gap so you can't move over. LOL.

The proper technique of locals is to signal WHILE changing lanes. Legally, you signaled. =D But it totally prevents people from filling in the gap to prevent your getting over into the lane.

Glad you guys made it back safe. I totally know what you mean about shot for Monday. Same deal here; didn't get back from NJ until wee hours this morning. I was a zombie at work for the first half of the day!

Those rules that you gave for driving up there are spot on. I remember making the same trip you did, and almost becoming road kill once or twice along the way....of course its a little hard to just 'punch it' when you have 7000 lbs. of 1954 Buick and trailer loaded on your tail....they dont care up there, though... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> We had to take the NJ turnpike all the way up to Bayone, NJ...right across the river from NYC.
