what's your take on these 2 companys? how are their products? I'm going to be buying a 3' suspension lift along with manual locking hubs for my rodeo but i'm undecided in which company I should choose. what have your experiences with these 2 companies taught you?

Never worked with Calmini, so I'll let someone with firsthand experience talk to that one. As for Indy4X, I could not have been happier with the service and help that Matt has given me in the past. I endorse him readily to anyone looking for the Isuzu aftermarket.

Joe Darlington is another favorite source for the Isuzu crowd, but I haven't had the pleasure of working with him yet, so I can't speak to that side of things.

Indy can get you aisin hubs, so I'd go that direction. Also, Matt specs great stuff for all of his kits. I'd highly recommend him for any purchase.

I've never done business with calmini, but I ahve with indy 4x it's always been absolutely terrific. Matt is one of us. he will treat you right and offers excellent products and knowledge. I've hung out with Joe on and off the trail and I can tell you that he is also a stand up guy who runs a good operation. you will also see joe and matt posting here and on other 4x websites.

you can try the search function out and see what others have reported, as well.

Matt at Indy4x is a great guy, works hard, has done a lot for the Isuzu community, has excellent customer service, and has great products. I have dealt with him some and have been very happy with the outcome.

Calmini has great quality products, has been in the business for many years, but tends to be lacking with their customer service some. I have delt with them on a few ocassions and am always happy with their products, but their customer service is weak.

Both companies detail what is included in their lifts, and are very different, so it kind of just depends on what route you want to go. Both kits will work. Since you are in CA, Calmini is a lot closer, so shipping would probably be less.

I have dealt with Calmini only once, when ordering a $5 catalog. Called once, ordered, waited 2 months, called again to make sure it got ordered, they LOST my credit card number. Ordered it again, waited 2 months, and on the day i was going to call to complain again, it was in my mailbox.

Its only a small thing, but i feel like if they cant deliver a small catalog in a manilla envelope, how can i trust them with a $500 bumper or other expensive part? It didnt help that they were completely rude and seemed uninterested in my call both times i contacted them.

Now, I have also dealt with Matt (at Indy) and Joe (at www.darlington-offroad.com) and can say that they are both standup guys. I have wheeled with Joe on many occasions, and aside from being very knowledgable about Isuzu's, he is a great guy to boot. Matt is always extremely helpful when anybody calls and doesnt hesitate to take the time out of his very busy day to make sure that his customers are well taken care of.

Indy4X - Matt knows Isuzus better than the Calmini folks and owns his own business. He will make sure you get what you need and stands behind his business. I have bought from both Calmini and Indy4x, and I'd recommend Indy4X. Call Matt and talk with him. You'll get a solid experience.

Best of luck with the Rodeo...

thanks for all the feedback guys. it really helps. I'm going to research all three companys and see what they have to offer in the lift department. Im hearing a lot of good stuff about indy from you guys, so im already kinda swaying in their direction, but Im gonna give the other 2 companys a chance with a little research. like mentioned earlier, calmini is a lot closer and shipping costs would be less, but who knows what i'll end up getting. I'll post an update once im decided. thanks once again!

Matt @ Indy4x. Im in Oregon, so just as far as you. The shipping costs arent really that bad. Just think about it this way: You pay an extra $4, and you get $400 worth of service and support directly from Matt..Sooo its a given in my eyes.
