Need a Spot
I have a'02 grand cherokee, during normal highway driving the jeep downshifts frequently out of overdrive for a split second and kicks off the cruise control. This occurs even on flat surfaces not just on hills. I have taken it to two dealerships they acknowledge the problem but have no idea what is wrong with it. Any suggestions?

What size tires are you running and what gears?

Sounds like the brake switch is being triggered. I'd see if the brake switch is adjustable or if something is inbetween it and the pedal.

I will have that looked at for the cruise, but the engine still is downshifting out of overdrive for no reason. It is almost like it is sputtering and the plugs have been changed.

once more dd... what size tires are you running?
Also changing the plugs is not a tuneup! What about the wires and coil?
