Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hi guys,
I just lucked into a york ac compressor for my O.B.A. project on my 91 yj.
The only problem is that it has a V type pulley and I need one with a serpentine pulley. Anyone know what vehicles came with york compressors and serpentine pulleys? I plan on hitting some junkyards this weekend, and would like to know what vehicles I should be looking for.

You need to remember the serpentine belts run BACKWARDS from the V-belts! On the coolant pump anyways. So where you put the pump might matter.

Jim he's looking for a serpentine pulley to replace the vbelt pulley on a compressor. Everything else is serpentine already.

Most big rig shops carry serpentine pulleys for these. A Kenworth part number is KA-1480 for a six groove pulley or KA-1485 for an eight groove pulley. They run $85-100 new. Freightliner, Peterbilt, and others also will have them.

Some mid-80s Mustangs had Yorks w/serpentine pulleys but they are rare. You might also find a serpentine Volvo.
