Replacing the fan clutch resolved the issue for me. However, my old fan would rotate MUCH more than yours when I turned the engine off...it was completely worn out. - '92 LWB V6 3.0 5 sp 33x10.5 BFG M/Ts & Bouncy seat - '95 LWB V6 3.0 Auto (Scrapped) - '05 Montero Limited.
