Mine too, sometimes. Both my stalks move a little when either is touched, like the mounting screws are loose. That may trigger the cancel function on the cruise or make an intermittent circuit, OR, there may be a backflow of current from the tail lights to the brake light switch, and then by a short to the cruise cancel switch if it's separate.
