Getting the Wheeling Fever
I had my abs light go on when I would go down a steep hill or come to a quick stop, turned out it was low on fluid. I find it strange that the brake light didn't go on. but the ABS light did. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

checked my fluid already, still full. probably could change it out with fresh fluid though. not sure if that would cause the problem. doubt it. oh, well, of to the shop to have the computer read.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just saw the brake post and I didn't have any wheel lock on my 97 sporty but the abs block went bad. I but in a plain T block in the fluid line to get same pressure to front and rear brakes, works fine but I have another problem with my front brakes.I don't know if 2000 models or older had 4 wheel abs but I do know that 97 and 98 only had rear abs brakes on them.

On my '97 Sportage the brake proportioning valve and abs solenoids are on the left inner wheel well right next to the master cylinder. I believe it is rear only.
