I got in the truck today to head to the motorcycle shop. All 4 windows would not roll up. I got home and checked the fuses and the 20A circuit breaker for the power windows had blown.

I pulled out the cb, pushed the popup indicator back in, then stuck it back in the fuse block. I tried the windows again...nothing. No windows rolled up, no popup button popping out.

I let it sit for an hour while I had lunch. I just went out to try again and head to the store if necessary. I turned the ign to on and lo-behold, the windows rolled up just fine.

What would cause a surge to blow open the circuit breaker? The manual says to repair "the cause" then push the button back in the cb and reinstall it and it's good to go. I did not repair anything or get to finding "the cause" as the windows rolled on up when I put the keys in. Do I need to look over the wiring I can get to for shorts?

Edit: No, the window lock button was not engaged <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
