Two sportages are already testing the diffs
The only info I have for the moment is that they were not wire activated as the previus ones but air-activated...

Fokion,

Do you have a internet link to the manufacturer, so others can have a look around the site, or at least express interest? I'm sure there are a few frustrated souls here...

Looks good, noting that it is a 6 pinion design and not a 4 pinion as in the original. Should be nice and strong.

I dont think there should be any problems with the halfshaft spline strength you talked about earlier, as the punishment the Dave has metered out (on rocks) and the destruction of the diffs that I have done (general abuse, and "Damned Kia, how the f*** did that get up there?) have not affected the splines on the halfshafts.

The only technical issue you could bring to the attention of the manufacturer would be to replace the crush tube with a solid spacer and shims between the front and rear bearings on the (main) pinion. I would suggest that he looks at producing the spacer as a part of the upgrade, as the crush tubes can deform more than they should, allowing the pinion to "walk" up the ring, leading to misalignment and destrction of the ring/pinion (I believe this was a contributing factor in one of my "grenades")

Will forward your suggestions...

In any case the abuse that ARE taking the diffs is inkredible..
They are testing them even in 4WD at tight turns in dry tarmak <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> to see what will brake

I need to move to Greece. I got to have one of these!!!

The locker from Korea looked good, but if we can have one of these in the front AND either the LSD or air locker in the rear, sign me up.
