What "trigered" me on the forst design was exactly that, its simplisity, noe it looks like an ARB-copy ( at least at its philosophy...)

As I said the above is for discusion purposes and not trying to lessen the value of the project..



Just for reminding, the prototypes in DANA 44 and DANA 25 were air actuated.

As I referred to the previous post, the mechanical actuation by "cable" was a special construction after customer's requirement, and it is no more available.

The final air actuation design, is totally different than the ARB design, keeping the easy to install, without critical alignment, steps.

The most important is that the air cirquit is totally isolated from the diff lubricant. That means that the 'working' air, with all its ingredients (dust, humidity etc) doesn't pass through the housing of the diff, as in ARB design, so doesn't polute the diff lubricant.

Also the pneumatic movement is based on a reliable heavy duty industrial design pneumatic cylinder.
