Since we are dicussing it and with no intention to sound like a smart#$%^% <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> isnt the "cable" that was at the original design a more reliable, and in the event it broke " user replacable" instead of all the compresors and its cables, pipes & connections that must be air-tight that if and when they brake they are not "on-site" fixable?? What "trigered" me on the forst design was exactly that, its simplisity, noe it looks like an ARB-copy ( at least at its philosophy...)
As I said the above is for discusion purposes and not trying to lessen the value of the project.. Just for reminding, the prototypes in DANA 44 and DANA 25 were air actuated. You can find more details here http://www.to4x4.gr/html/site/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2814&start=0As I referred to the previous post, the mechanical actuation by "cable" was a special construction after customer's requirement, and it is no more available. The final air actuation design, is totally different than the ARB design, keeping the easy to install, without critical alignment, steps. The most important is that the air cirquit is totally isolated from the diff lubricant. That means that the 'working' air, with all its ingredients (dust, humidity etc) doesn't pass through the housing of the diff, as in ARB design, so doesn't polute the diff lubricant. Also the pneumatic movement is based on a reliable heavy duty industrial design pneumatic cylinder. For more technical details or analysis you can just make a call to me or to Michael Theologitis(Amorgianos)

this would be good, as i interpet that to mean, that if in the case of an airline breakage on the trail, it wont effect the dif whatsoever other than the fact that it goes back to unlockable. only thing i could see being a good addition, if its not already there, would be a one way valve of some sort, so that nothing can enter the actuator and damage it. just like my car though with air ride suspension, especially for wheelin, it wouldnt hurt to carry extra airline. extremely light and very easy to replace if you have the right push style fittings. a repair could literally be done within minutes with nothing more than a pair of pliers and a exacto knife. maybe some zip ties to get the line out of the way until a proper rerouting could be done.

Can't put a one way valve in otherwise you wouldn't be able to unlock it...

Hello!!!
The progress is running well. The 'problem' is that we thought to combine the locker with differnt R&P and so became a little bit more complicated. I ordered 5.29 R&P form a German company. I have the samples and they are OK. So it remains to check the series for thr R&P in order to go with the locker. I think that we will have more news within next two weeks. Really, is anybody interested for the 5.29 R&P? They are special constructed and fitted with the lockers.

Based on our progress or lack thereof with Track Finder, abso-friggin'-lutely. Of course it will require money and convincing the wife why she needs this on (cough) her (cough) truck, but we'll deal with that another day. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

after doing a few conversions on a calculator thing posted on a different topic here, i am thinking the 5.29's wouls still not be enough to bring 31's back to a stock like gearing.
what i figured out to get close or slightly lower than stock: 31's would need 5.6 33's would need 5.9
and if anyone decided to get as crazy as dave!!!! 38's would need a whopping 6.6 ratio!
