àthe mythical second click

Seriously - the spare tire carrier on our 1997 Rodeo has been rattling and clamoring back there since the day we first took it for a test driveà and itÆs really only gotten worse with all of the off-road use its seen since.

As for the æsecond clickÆ - on mine, there are indeed two positionsà
#1: Not completely closed (and rattling like crazy)
#2: Closed (and still rattling, just not quite as badly)

And then, of course, thereÆs also the squeaking back hatch seal <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Good luck on finding a solution with yours <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I posted this for a friend.
That model(s) came with two rear door options
1) Swingout
2) Fold flat of a flap

Aparently, if I can get hold of a technical drawing there are suppose to be some plates added to the rear door to strengthen the door to handle the latch for the swing arm. These plates can get loose as well adding to the rattle.

some help hint idea? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />
