No lift will net you ground clearance, period. Stock or 12" will have the same amount.

Phrased this wrong.. No lift will give you AXLE clearance. Suspension lifts give you frame/crossmember clearance. Just wanted to clarify..

NOPE!

Ground clearance is measured at the LOWEST point... The axles (or IFS diff) will always be the lowest point, and are unaffected by lifting the vehicle.

So then the Only way to gain ground clearance (For IFS Crossmember and Rear Axle) would be for me to throw on some taller tires? Ack...guess ill have to find some used 35" mudders for trails only then. And do the 3" BL and maybe a 4" Suspension lift so no rubbing occurs

Tires lift everything higher off the ground. You can also do things like shaving the bottom off the axle for more clearance as well.

Suspension lifts raise the frame and body higher off the ground creating increased approach, breakover and departure angles.

Body lifts raise the body higher off the frame (and ground) and that can help with approach and departure angles if the bumpers are raised to match. Also, if the drivetrain is lifted up with the body, you can improve breakover angles as well.

More lift information...

hmm, I guess this will be one of the decisions on how much work I want to put into the truck lol. When I got stuck I was scraping just enough to where my crossmember turned into a plow and just made a Wall of mud...so just need to achieve 2-3" ground clearance from the lowest point. Thanks for the sites 4crawler - Ill keep reading into them

what do you want to do with the truck.
what size tires do you want to run.
why do you think that you have to lift it.
mostly tire size.
if you are going to really wheel the truck get out the saws all and take out the rear of the fenders and trim up the front.
my wife is running 34s. no lift at all, not rubbing at all at this time. she is running 4 plus trails and is stock geared and stock suspension.. really I think her 85 shocks came from the factory.. get this shittttt they are still good. oh it is an 85 reg cab. I cut 16 inches out of the back of the bed. welded on a 3 inch by 1/4 inch thick rear bumper.
oh,, this is my wifes truck. so it is camo pink, gray, white, and water mellon. and,,, it has butter flies on it.
she wants no lift, 4.7 marlin gears, bud built cross member. 5.29s front and rear. welded rear with a power trax no slip in the front. we just love the power trax that is in the front of my truck.
she also wants hydro steer vs cross over.
she is a wild women when it comes to the trails. she wanted her truck to say girl.... when she is passing up all us men.

so.. sorry.. don't lift.... cut.. keep the weight low as possible.

Eh...this is pretty much my DD...sooo I think ill stay away from sawzalling the exterior body panels lol...If I were to do this I would throw on the 3" Body lift and put some 35"s on there for the trails

Do they make a 6" body lift for Yotas? I recently bought one with a 6" body lift but I think it might have been custom made.
