Was browsing some sites and saw this kit on autoanything.com 2" or 3" Body lift kit
I dunno usually how much these kits go for - but for $123 that doesnt seem too awful high to me, especially if it comes with all the extenders to re-align items. Ideas?

I, recently purchased a "Performance Accessories" 2" lift for $110.00 from the local 4x4 shop and am real happy with it. It included all brackets, extensions, bolts, etc.. IMO the bodylifts are overpriced for what you get but at the time it was the quickest way to go.

I just happen to have a 3" PA kit for 86-88 4runners.. I'd sell it to a 4x4 wire member for 1/2 price.. still in the box. email me directly.

After doing my homework, Im thinking I might not even lift the body since it won't grant me any ground clearance. But I will browse Marlins site for a 2" Body lift to squeeze some 33's or 35's onto the yoter. Ground Clearance seems to be mainly what I need to try to gain at this point. When I finally got my truck stuck (mines the IFS setup, wish it was sas) the rear axle and the IFS center point got lodged on a nicely planted rut...
If I were wanting to get the middle section of the truck a little higher off the ground, what shocks/leafs would you all recommend? I've seen alot of you run "Rancho" shocks. Right now the truck has brand new Bilsteins on it and brand new stock leafs on it.
Some one with an 86 pickup is giving me his shocks/leafs but he said it's a 4" Lift. Will I have to mess w/ the drive shaft/E-Brake cable/ any other major component if I wanted to swap his components into my truck?

No lift will net you ground clearance, period. Stock or 12" will have the same amount.

TIRES give you ground clearance.

The BL enables you to easily fit larger tires to gain ground clearance. Stock tires are about 28", and you can get 31's to fit stock. 32's can be had if you carefully select wheel/tire combo. A 3" BL enables you to run 33-35" tires, for a gain of 2.5-3" ground clearance.

What you are looking for is breakover angle. The best way to achieve this is a 3" BL and a 2" drivetrain lift. The frame is not your hanging point... Your crossmember is. Lifting the drivetrain 2" will give you a nearly flat underside, and the addidtional 2", for a total of 4.5-5" gain.

Check with 4Crawler... He can hook you up with all of this.

Phrased this wrong.. No lift will give you AXLE clearance. Suspension lifts give you frame/crossmember clearance. Just wanted to clarify..
