I know there is a 2nd gen rodeo running around the area I work with a calmini lift (and body lift). He has the calmini arms on his. I havent seen it for a bit so cant remember which part of 2nd gen it is but seem to think it was a '98 or '99 (amber lens on tail light turn signals). Protetype (Mike) on the planet board talked to him so maybe he remembers what year it was.

Body Damage is Cool
The UCA they sent to me for my 2002 Rodeo were perfect in terms of fitment and quality. I am reading a lot of bad words about Calmini here on this board, but I have to say that the product I bought (the arms) and the service were just perfect. I received the arms just two days after I ordered them. Not many aftermarket Isuzu suppliers can do this.

They also included new steel brake lines into the shipment.

I have the upper control arms and love em, I'd just recommend taking the old and new into a shop to have em pressed together. It took me forever and I didn't do em right, so now I have to do em again to replace the bushings...

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have the Calmini lift. Words of wisdom. If its only you doing the lift dont plan on going anywhere monday. Any garage can press the old out and the new in for cheap. Run all the gas out of your car, PB everything, have two jacks and 4 jackstands. The calmini arms will fit on the second gen. Take your time and follow the directions and your should be okay. You may have to shave to eyes on the track bar if you use the stock one. Other than that you shouldnt have any problems.

I know it is hard to tell without removing the old UCA, but I couldn't resist. Does this look like I am going to have issues?

It's really hard to get a perspective on the other side. Try and get an inside measurement between the cups.

Do this on your new and old ones.

That ought to be about the best we can do for now.

I was looking over the instruction set and am a little confused about something. It says I need to:
1)Remove the fulcrum pin
2)Use a press to remove the fulcrum pin bushings from the factory control arm and install into the new Calmini arm.
3) Install the fulcrum pivot pin through the eyelets of the calmini arm.
4) Install the bushing sleeves over the 2 pivot points
5) install the urethane bushings factory cup washer and nuts.

I assume that this means that I am going to re-use the factory fulcrum pin bushings. However, when I was calling around trying to find someone with a press locally, they told me that they would destroy at least one bushing trying to get it out and that I would be better off just getting new bushings. Is this true or am I just confused now?!

Did you not get new poly bushings with the kit? You should have gotten a set of 4 blue bushings. It's generally tough to get them out intact.

You will need new bushings. They are a pain just to get out, much less to try and get them out without any damage.

I got everything in this picture, including the 4 poly bushings. However, thier directions make it sound like that I will need both their bushing as well as the stock ones. That is where I got confused...
