They didn't rattle or fall out during any of my rollovers

Now that's funny. I can picture it in my head. More storage inside the truck perhaps????
hhhmhmmmmmmm.............

You know, if you really really wanted to, you could probably make more storage in a 4Runner than you can a Caravan

I think I'm going to have to go junk yarding to find a top that I can cut.

Hey GOI87, check Ebay. Local pick-up item in Wichita Ks. The shell is going for $10. Worth the gas???

550 MILES THERE 550 BACK AT LEAST 8-9 HOURS THERE PLUS 8-9 HOURS BACK. = 1200MI AND 16-18 HOURS WORTH OF DRIVING= $186 WORTH OF GAS IF I CAN GET 20 MPG @ $3.10/GAL. MIGHT HAVE TO GET A HOTEL IF WIFE & KID COMES, WHAT $80.00 FOR THAT?

=$186(GAS)+$80(HOTEL)+10(FOR TOPPER)+40(FOOD)

$316 FOR TOPPER?

DOESN'T SEEM WORTH MY TIME, PLUS THERE ARE MANY YARDS IN COLORADO. THANKS FOR THE INFO!!!

Update....

Picked up some thin aluminium diamond plate, cut out the top of the box using the wood as a template, countersunk some SS screws and whalla, not it "looks" like a toolbox. I also cleaned it up a bit, and mounted my 54mm socket.
More time involved than planned, but that's part of the fun huh???

Pics.
