When you put the back half of the factory top onto your truck, how do the two halves connect to each other?

Good question. I lined the inside edge of the front half with some 2" wide aluminum flat bar. 1" rivited to the front fiberglass, and 1" protruding out of it. This outer 1" aluminum edge is where the snaps for the top are screwed into. This edge (with the 1/2 snaps removed) acts as a seal per say, laying under and in between the 2 fiberglass top halves. Basically, fills in the 1/8" gap created by the thickness of the cut-off wheel. 2 regular top bolts each side, and down the road I go. I do have a little play there though. The halves kinda slapping around a bit with bumps, but that's it. My fingers hurt, I just need to take a couple pics huh?
