I had some questions regarding the Taurus electric fan swap for those of you who have done it.

1. What year Taurus should I be looking for? engine size? tranny?

2. what else do I need besides the fan, is there a control box or something else i need to make it work?

I'm doing this swap on my '80 Luv to get ride of the fan clutch, and also to gain a few hp, any and all help would be nice, thanks in advance guys <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I don't remember the exact years, but I believe the engine is the 3.8

here's a thread on it:

there are more threads on it, but I think that one is prob'ly the most complete.
