4.88s are a bit tall for 35"s and a relatively stock 22R-series motor. Running a supercharger, I could turn 35s just fine, but I wouldn't try it with a *normal* 22r-22re. Go with 5.29s. Buy the gears and have them installed - check pirate4x4 for install/gear specials.

Any one know a good place to snag a pair of third-member in 4.88. And how well will 4.88 turn 35" tires? Thanks Brett Are you talking about the factory 4.88's? 'cause knowing what I know now...I wouldn't have gotten mine. I would just change the gears in the 3rds you have now or buy v6 or HP 3rds. Could you elaborate/explain please?
