as far as maxing the truck out, you will not be able to redline it in 5th gear, with 33's. ive had 90 with 4.88s and 33's, going downhill, and it was near 5 grand.

4.88 is perfect with 33's, and not bad at all with 35's.
highway speeds (70-80mph) are fine with both.

btw ive got a 4.88 ifs front diff id sell pretty cheap. factory, not regeared. came out of a '95 4runner.
