i am trying to find the axle width of the rear axle in a 2000 tj. have been lookng but have not found much. also does anyone know if axle shafts for a scout rear end can be redrilled for 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern?

I know the axle widths for my YJ's are mentioned in the chilton.... Don't know if there is enough meat to drill it, you might be able to buy shafts with that pattern.

TJ, YJ, XJ, and MJ are all 60" WMS to WMS.
Scout is about 58". There should be enough meat there to redrill, but spacers would put you closer to stock width and you wouldn't have to re-drill brake drums if future replacments are ever necessary.
