The Pajero is now a real vehicle - took the family and dog out for a ride tonight. Turns around 2400rpm at 100km/h, very quiet ride with no rattling. Can't get the compass to work despite following directions on prior threads. Both batteries were dead and have been replaced. I got my fuel filter at Crappy Tire, btw. Spec'd one for an 85 D50. Haven't tried it yet, but visually it looks the same. Still no compass? I hit the button, then did some circles, and it came alive. Does it "search" or does it just not come on? Was your toolkit and rear parcel shelf/rear "torch" in place and intact? Batteries were beyond charging up?
