Joe,
as most have already said THANKS!!! I know that the 5 years or so I have been in this community you have been there offering a large selection of the first products to the Isuzu offroad community. You are truely a pioneer
I can attest to the appreciation everyone that has personally dealt with you feels. I hope you get some time for yourself, and some of that time includes 4wheeling.
I appreciate you teaching me what in know in regards to my DOR lift...and am still loving it after 4 full years of use.
I wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope that if you choose to take up the design and fabrication of Isuzu, you succeed...which, having dealth with a few times I am sure you will.
Thanks for everything. Best of luck, and once again don't be a stranger around here... you are still a wealth of knowledge, and a true gentleman.

Joe, Sad to hear this news.
And as has been said, thanks for what you have done for the Isuzu community, and also thank you for what you do for this country.
I hope you get things worked out and decide to come back into production again, whenever it may be.
I hope to wheel with you again soon. -J

Joe, I too am sorry to hear about the shut down. Even though I haven't been a member here real long I know that you've provided your fair share and plus some to the Isuzu community. In the next few months I was going to be purchasing the needed kit(s) to lift my Trooper 2-3" from you and now I don't know what I'm going to do. Will you ever get back into the business? I liked your kit the best for what it comes with and the price you charge. In addition to that I'd probably be buying a set of lift shackles too for my dad's truck. If you have anything left in regards to the above let me know. I'd really like to stick with your suspension parts to lift our vehicles. Thanks.

Hey Joe! Sad to hear that you are shutting down, but its good to hear you are going to get some time to yourself. I can only imagine what its like trying to run an outfit like DOR and work for Uncle Sam at the same time. I hope you are not planning on leaving the Isuzu community all together.

Sorry to hear your shutting down!
But at least you'll have some time to catch up on yourself!
Thanks for everything!

Joe, definitely do whats best for you man, you got my support. As if its not enough that you continue to faithfully serve our country, DOR jump started my career in offroading and I won't forget either of those things.
Look forward to seeing you around and out on the trails, Darlington products or not.
Take care buddy, -Rob

Dude, I guess that conversation we had a month or two ago finally materialized. Sorry to here it, but I'm nearly certain you're going to enjoy the free time. For those folks who have never had the distinctive honor of dealing with this guy, a pioneer, an Isuzu legend let me enlighten you on just how he was. I was fairly brand new to the Isuzu community, well at least rockcrawling a perfect good grocery getter like a Passport, and I decided that I wanted to upgrade to a locker for the front end. The first call I made was to JoeD. At that time the truely only option was a lockright which by the way I found out during this period had quit production of said locker. Anyway, Joe said that they were hard to come by and would look for one for me, at the same time I began the search myself of just about every known 4x4 link on the web. I met with no luck. A few weeks went by and I just happened to be in MEPCO (Tera Flex PLus now) ordering my roof rack when I spotted lockright lockers behind the counter help. I asked the guy if that first box happened to be a 3110 and he replied yep, it's the only one that I have. Obviously I bought the locker. I then called Joe to let him know to call off the search, that I have found the locker. I was dumb founded when his reply was "great, why don't you bring it up here and I'll show you how to put it in". Of course I'm thinking why in the world would an aftermarket company show me how to install something that I didn't purchase from them.................got to be a hook. The following week I proceeded to the enormous metropolis of Mt Home, Idaho (I think they have one working traffic light). For the next two days, I was instructed step by step wrench (SAE-another long story) by wrench until I not only had the front taken apart, but put back together as well with only one extra part (that part was id'd later, easily put in it's placed, and was not crucial). In two days I not only was given invaluable life long trail learning instructions on the front end workings of an IFS, but I as well was, feed, provided the beverage of my choice, put up for the night, and I made two friends for life (Joe and Vic). I've dealt with many a businesses over my short 43 year life span and Joe had the best Customer Service bar none. Nobody is even in the same league. The bottom line a phrase that I reserve for the cream of the crop........the best of the best....Joe Darlington is a "stand up guy, you could by a house from this gentlemen via only a hand shake". Thanks for the friendship Joe, I'll never forget those two windy wet days in beautiful Mt Home Idaho. Hopefully now you'll be able to surf our clubsite more to keep us in the loop on what's happening in North Cacalacy. Later dude.
