this is my first post here on the 4x4 wire... so, HELLO!!!

and...

on the subject of seafoam... some cars will throw a CEL when using it in this fasion (dumped into intake).. I've seen it happen before, I think it has to do with a major sudden change in oxygen readings out the tail pipe.. anyhow.. unplug battery for 5 minuts, CEL gone, no harm...

on the subject of HOW to use the seafoam... I don't suggest the brake booster line on that engine because it does not lead to a point on the manifold that would evenly distribute the seafoam to all cylinders... I would suggest using one of the vacume lines that lead into the throttle body... I usually suggest doing it before an oil change in case some works it's way past the rings.

another interesting thing- for combustion chamber cleaning.. distilled water is as good as seafoam and a lot cheaper.. use the same method on a HOT engine... the droplets of water coming in contact with the HOT metal flash boil and blast away carbon deposits very well.. I prefer seafoam because it is a lot more FUN!!! (HUGE PLOOMS OF SMOKE).

best wishes.
