I think decent airtime is an understatement. Wonder if they busted anything besides their bodies?

I think decent airtime is an understatement. Wonder if they busted anything besides their bodies? Yes, they did. I wonder if that is a vid of our platoon's HMMWV from OIF I. I heard they jumped it pretty good, and the frame is now shot... Along with the suspension, exhaust, front diff, etc. It permanently leans to the right... Note the angle of the r/f tire after the one in the vid lands. HMMWV's are prone to nose-diving when jumped... They are lucky it didn't flop on it's face when landing.

Every time I see this topic I think it is supposed to be about airborne troops. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ya' know- now that you mention it, I wonder how many people are a little skeptical of clicking a video link within a topic with 'Hummer' in it. Perhaps an edit is in order.

Having just ridden in a HMMWV during work the other day I can bet that they were a little sore after that landing. The padding is a bit lacking...
