Body Damage is Cool

I was at the lake today with my jet ski. and as I was taking it out of the water, this super duty(2wd gas) couldn't get their boat out of the water. The boat was a really heavy 25' motor boat. The super duty was open in the rear and it was a steep ramp so they were just smoking the tires. So anyway long story short, I hooked up to the front of the super duty and boat, and with my trooper in low(tera's) I was able to idle in reverse and pull them right out <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />For some reason I just think thats cool. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

thats what they get for buying a 2wd gas <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> And....thats what they get for hooking up an Inadequate tow rig to a heavy boat.....a little thought woulda gone the whole way....and that couldnt of been the only dock at the lake to launch from. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> None the less still is fun to tow someone out. Especially if its an "American" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> vehicle....hehehe <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

And....thats what they get for hooking up an Inadequate tow rig to a heavy boat..... well, as an F250 owner, I can't say a 3/4" ton truck (gas or diesel) would be "inadequate" tow rig choice to tow a 25' boat, especially with all the crazy setups I see out on the road... but perhaps the circumstances left the owner wishing he would have opted for that 4wd option... I know I've used mine several times despite my F250's purpose being tow duties. Anyway, its always great to lend a hand, no matter what you or the other person is driving. -Rob

Many years ago, I realized that 4wd was an almost necessity for boat launching. Dad decided to pull his boat out of the water and oil/crud/etc. on the ramp caused the tires on the car to lose their grip. The current caught the trailer and sucked the car right into the river. Dad jumped out of the boat to save the car and slipped in the same oil/crud/etc. As we sat in the hospital room after his head was stitched up, we watched the 6 p.m. news and the crane that was brought in to lift the car out of the river. The car was a total loss.
Oh BTW, it was his pride and joy '57 Nomad. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

On days like that you wish you woulda stayed home <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />
And I definatly agree and second the statement that no matter what the rig its always good to stop and help give someone a tow or whatever cause one of these days it may be you needing a hand...
