I think the big problem was that the boat wasn't on the trailer right, they had it too far back, and it was tring to lift the a$$ end of the truck up. Plus the whole 1 wheel drive thing <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />.
It was at Joe pool lake in arlington. We haven't had any decent amount of rain here in a long time(months and months), that along with the 105*F+ weather. The lake is like 3-4 feet low. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

The only way to launch/recover a boat on a ramp with 2wd IMO is to put a hitch on the front. That way the wheels stay off the slick stuff. Just back it out till you are on level ground then hook it to the back.

Thats the way we used to do it with the motorhome when I was a kid.

4wd is still much better and cooler though <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
