Hey,

I finally past smog and now want to get the 85 Runner mechanically sound before working on the interior and body. To make a long story short, my son rolled my truck about 1.5 years ago and I am trying to bring it back to life. I paid a local body shop cash to put a windshield on it so I could drive it around. Had a friend install some Detroit lockers and put some 33 muds on her. Engine sounds good but the truck is pulling to the right. I have read some threads but some of the talk is over my head. I had always thought that with a solid front axle, I would not need alignment. From reading a few threads looks like it can. Is this something I just bring into the shop and ask for an alignment? On a second note, I am getting a sharp sound from underneath the truck when I release the clutch and go into first gear. Sometimes I get no sound but most times I will. Loudness will vary. I don't think it is internal because the sharpness of the sound. Could this be the U-Joint. Any help would be great.
