'96 & up are ODB-II (federal mandate). Plus, CA, which is more picky. You may be able to get Magnaflow 43000 series and pass SMOG. If you know of a SMOG tech, I'd check w/ him first.

ODB-II is PITA... That cat efficiency code will usually put a vehicle into limp mode (decreased performance).
