Liquid nails

Liquid Nails gets my vote also. I have used that stuff for all kinds of repairs. It can take a while to set and might drip off unless the hood is upside down.

Also 3M brand double-sided tape under the name VHB (very high bond) work well.

Body Damage is Cool
3M 5200. Try it, you'll like it. It's an extremely strong flexible adhesive. Available at boat stores and many a Walmart.

Roll Me Over
Liquid Nails isn't appropriate for this application. I'd go with a 3M seam sealer or another recommendation from your local body shop.

Roll Me Over
Go to your local autobody supply store, such as CMAX, and they will get you what you need.
Don't be afraid or Norton stuff either (compared to 3m) the glue for my side panels is holding up very well.

Try some polyurethane door and window sealant. I got some 50 year stuff from the hardware store to seal some of the body seams again and it worked great. Downside is it take about 48 hours to completely dry. Good side is this stuff will hold well and be flexable enough to put up with the vibrations the hood experiences. Good luck getting fixed!
