Do they make a coil for the 91 V6 Monty. Is it a simple PnP or will it need a wiring harness swap?

Thanks,
D

I am curious. What do you possibly hope to gain with a MSD coil on that engine?

I wont bore the board. If you really want to know why you would upgrade your coil send me an email I will explain.

This ought to be good. 2 professional, working auto techs want to know what you expect an MSD coil to do for you, other than cost you money.

Please enlighten the both of us.

I'm really going to enjoy this.

hahaha, im no profesional auto mechanic but i do it all and theres no need to upgrade to a msd coil for your 91 montero, especially if you have a stock 6g72, but you seem to know more than us so why dont you enlighten us as 52 said

conner, et. al.

I no need for the "atitude" in your reply on this. Drewz posted a valid question. If you know there's no benefit, please explain it to him rather than post as you did.

As for the rest of you, the same thing goes.

Drewz,

As has been aluded to, many believe the MSD ignition coil doesn't provide any real benefit for the 91 V6 engine. If you know for a fact that it does, please share what you've learned along with how you learned it.

Oh, and don't let the smart remarks by others taint your responses. If what you heard was based on their marketing simply say so. If anything, it help's everyone out in the end including other newbies to the forum like yourself.

Apparantly, you did not read my original question. I expected one of two answers.
1. He would provide good information that would help us all.
or
2. He was provided with false information and we could steer him straight and save his money.
Now read his reply and tell me where the problem really is.
Thank you
Conner
