Basically, what we're all saying here is that your money would be better spent on something else. The way the first 3 posts looked by the time I saw them kinda got me started off on the wrong foot, and for that I apologize.

I too have seen many MSD coils fail very early. Factory is best and longest lasting.

If you are having driveability issues only in hot weather, I would definately look elsewhere for the problem. The likelyhood of it being a coil problem is pretty low (but do check the coil output, you can get a cheap coil tester at your local auto parts store to prevent involuntary hair curling/straightening).

Be carefull and don't get too hot a coil. I run an MSD coil, large spark plug wires and "truck plugs". The spark plugs do not fowl under heavy fuel flow and don't misfire at low rpm when fording a creek. Yes they are worth the money.
