Yeah, I admit I fell for the slick marketing, and bought a set of rancho's for my montero. They sucked, it bottomed out, swayed alot, nosedive. They were the worst shock I have ever purchased. Total waste of money.
I Bought the KYB MonoMax and Have never looked back! Five years later and 40k miles and they are still strong, no lean in the curves, (but that could be the 8 inch american racing wheels). No nose dive when on the brakes and it don't squat down in the ass when I hook up my 16ft motorcycle trailer either!
Those MonoMax shocks were so good I bought a set for my Dodge Ram 2500, & my Jeep Wrangler ! A friend of mine at work says they are better than those Edelbrocks he had before on his Ford explorer, even before & after the tire blows out.
Shockware house has new ones $48 each free shipping, and no tax if your not in florida, which is also a bonus.
They are the best, and it must be a secret cause you never see them bragged about in them magazines or other message boards?
I like them & jimmy does too <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
