as of this post time the vote is 16 - 2 with aftermarket up by 14 (actually it's 15 - 2 'cause i voted for aftermarket to see results and figured i'd be the only oem vote otherwise.

so it seems mostly cost, smaller size for more offroad clearance, and the actual preference for a louder presence.
