ITEC removal

I'm in the process, still, of changing the head on my 2.6 engine. I removed the original head, complete with exhaust and intake, and am now working on it. The exhaust manifold came off with no problem.
Now I'm working on the intake side. I'm assuming that the entire ITEC unit will come off as a unit, ie one piece. I've removed four bolts along the bottom edge, and four nuts from studs at the opposite corners of the intake ports. That last nut, on number three cylinder, was a bit difficult to find, and may be a real ***** going back on.
Is there anything else holding the ITEC system onto the head? Or has it just sealed itself to the head and needs to be broken loose? Is this the time when I get out the BFH (rubber mallet) and tap it a couple times? That should work, if there's nothing more holding it.
All thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.

I pulled the head with the intake attached. It was heavy to get off, but it was way eaiser to get to all of the intake fasteners with the thing out of the engine bay.
Sounds like you have everything off that should need to come off. Tap it a time or two and see what happens.

Hey Trooper-san, Just went through the same thing with my head. You have removed everything you need for the unit to come off. Mine was stuck on their pretty tight, just took some effort and gentle tapping to loosen everything up. At first I thought I had missed a nut/bolt somewhere but it is just those 8 that you already removed. I know what you mean about that one nut, it was a real pain to get off. I still don't know about getting it back on. How are you supposed to re-torque when you can't get a torque wrench on? I also would be interested in others advice/input on this. Good luck! Cory
