Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
i got a second pair of uca's today. when i called and asked why i got them they said the ones they sent me were off. i really had not problems getting mine to fit on my truck. the ball joint holes didnt line up but just widened one and they fit. my nut on one of my fulcum pins the tread melted when putting back on but was able to find another one. other then that it was simple to get them on. they say i have 30 days to give them these or my old ones. sad thing is they came with no bushings. so im leaving my old ones on too much hassle no time to do them. anyone think i will have a problem?

If you had the fitment issues that others have had, you would never have gotten the arms on. I would just send back the new ones.

There was a guy over on planetisuzu that had a problem with the center hole of the ball joint not lining up, so they sent him new ones as well.

. . .i really had not problems getting mine to fit on my truck. the ball joint holes didnÆt line up but just widened one...my nut on one of my fulcum pins the tread melted....other then that...sad thing is they came with no bushings. wouldn't that 'widening' you did cause stress and/or weaken things a bit? the one's you bought came with bushings(right?),so tell them you want new bushings, too. their (unenforceable) 30-day time ought to start when they supply you with correct replacement for an admittedly incorrect part you paid good money for. i say take the time...do it right and not worry about it. if you return the corrected part, they are off the hook if something goes wrong.
