Hello everyone, new to the forum. Because I've never owned an A/T'd vehicle, out of stupidity I drained the ATF when I was trying to do an oil change.

All I need is to fill back up the spec level, I don't need a flush. Has anyone pumped fluid in from the dipstick input? Sounds grotesque, I know, but for my purposes I don't see why it wouldn't work. I want to double check though since stupidity got me here in the first place.

I beleive that's the only way to do it.

Don't worry I've got worse mistakes when it comes to Automatics. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

I'll check with the dealer in the AM, but for now, that's gonna be the plan unless I hear otherwise <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />

Not really. ATF is pretty thin, just get a long and skinny funnel, it goes down easy. I think the pan only holds something like 3 quarts??

Make sure you're using Mitsu Fluid in there. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Like he said, fill through the dipstick hole.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Macka, did you ever get any info on that lil pump you made to pump everything out. Inquiring minds want to know.

Body Damage is Cool
Draining the pan then filling it up thru the dip stick tube will not change all the tranny fluid. I have mine back flushed at a quick oil change place.
