Hi All,

LOL! First off, I meant to have a user name of SolidBlk85 (not soldblk85) but I guess I misstyped, hopefully the moderator will accept my change <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I'm a Yota newbie getting familiar with my one month old 85 Xtra cab 4x4. It's got a rebuilt 22RE, solid black, black wheels with 31's, 3" body lift and is a typical 20something year old.
I tracked down a parasitic battery drain to the cruise control brain and threw that away.
Now my only two issues are as follows:
A) When I hit a pothole or substantial hole in the road the steering column (from the best I can guess) clunks pretty bad. Is this typical on these things? It seems to be in the firewall bearing or support from the best I can tell.

B) The drive shaft support (rubber bushing) has a slight whine to it when driving slowly, is this typical, or should I spray some silicone lube in there to soften it up a bit and get rid of some friction? Or am I eventually going to have to get a new one. The support and rubber look to be in great shape, no cracking or drying out.

Right now, I'm working on getting this to be a good DD and weekend camping/hauling truck.

Thanks in advance for any help/info you guys can provide, I'm sure I'll have more post and questions in the near future.
