I'm running 33's with a 2.6 and I can run uphills in 5th gear with a lot of extra weight. But to do it, I had to get my engine running in tip-top perfect shape and I had to put in 5.29 diff gears. Nonetheless, I still will bog down, forcing me to either slug it through or down-shift to 4th. Doing a turbo conversion or putting in a 4.3 Chevy is another way.

Short of any of these options, with 33's you're asking too much of your 4-banger.
