I have a 95 YJ 4.0 - more recently when shifting from 2nd to third gear I sometimes hear and feel a grinding of some sort. I have the clutch fully pushed in and I checked under the hood and there is plenty of clutch fluid. It seems to happen more when I have it reved up in 2nd around 3000 rpm. It also only happens from 2nd to 3rd, never 3rd to 2nd or going between 3rd and 4th. I had an 89 YJ that did the same thing but it was less frequent so I really didn't think much of it.
