I went with a electric fan so I can turn it off when in the deep stuff. The only problems Ive had with running the stock fan was water/mud would hit the distributor and cause missfires. Also my k&n filter sitting on top of my Weber was getting totally coated with mud. Now I switch it off as I go in a bog...flip it back on when (if) I get out.
