Well, I just got done changing the plugs. They've been in since 1998 and they were real stubborn to get out. They were some Autolite platinum plugs that I couldn't cross reference so I don't know if they were the right plugs or not. But the gaps were very large so I'm thinking on the cool, damp days there was too much resistance trying to jump that gap on the #5 cylinder and that caused it to jump spark across the wires and my hand. I fired it up and it's incredibly smooth with the new plugs. So I'll leave the wires on for now to see if the misfire is gone. I still can't believe this engine passed emission's so easily and the dist cap was all rusty on the terminals, old plugs with huge gaps(that might have helped) and the original catalytic converter with 150K miles.
