In an Isuzu forum, your not likely to get an unbiased opinion, and all here will more than likely say "go for it." Just like in a jeep forum you'll get the same as when someone asks if they should buy a wrangler, or in a toyota with an fj40.

But since I'm a range of 3 makes Ill do what I can <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Pro's

New head--biggest failure with the 2.6
longer wheelbase
Good solid 4x4 system
Originality
slew of others, but I've never had a trooper....yet.
perfect for a 3.4 swap
good aftermarket, small, but competent , I cant spell
Cons
2.6,peppy but small, watch the temp gauge like a hawk
IFS....good for mild to moderate offroad, but without some serious beefing wont really do well \, especially with a locker
$1200 is too high in my opinion, but I live in the salt belt so my judgement is impaired.

Honestly I'd say go for it, beat it, break it, and fix it with beefier better parts. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
