I just swapped in a used rear end(complete) and after driving a couple of hundred miles there is this noise. Same noise that was there previous to the swap. At 30mph it sounds like a washing machine on the wash portion of the cycle. This sound is definitely coming from the rear. Tires are balanced. Wheels are true. Nothing is rubbing.
Anyone have any ideas? Axle bearings? Third bearings? Carrier berings?

What about the drive shaft- check u-joints and/or slip-yoke wear/lube, straightness, etc. Also check that the nut holding the t-case flange on is tight. Sometimes they loosen up. Same goes for the pinion flange on the diff.

Possibly a rear wheel bearing??? X2-a lot of times when they are going out they will make a rump, rumb noise.

they will make a rump, rumb noise. Exactly the noise I am hearing. I don't think it's driveshaft related as the noise is cycling to slowly.

Driveshaft U-joints will make a clicking noise at low speed. So I would rule out the U-joints.
