Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I didnt pull the oil pump and put in a dummy shaft. That would probally be what I am calling the short bolt. The bolt is about 5 or 6 inches and squared on the end. The cylinder must be the bearing for the balance shaft. Do I take the balance shaft out, put the bearing in and then put the plate were the chain gear was back on?
When the Monty started making chain noise, it was parked. The woman who owned it put a for sale sign on it. It was driven onto and off the trailer and that was it.
Thanks for the help.
Nate
1988 2DR 5SP 2.6l Monty. Balance shaft elimination kit installed. 120k miles. Timing jumped, pulling motor to see what needs to be done.
