So i take it i have a limited slip. with this known what are my options on a locker and the install process.

Your options are any drop-in (aka "lunchbox") style locker made for a std D44 w/ limited slip. There are literally dozen's of them out there, but all basically of the same design. One of the most popular around here is going to be the PowerTrax No-Slip.

As far as install, pull out the axle shafts, pop the cover on your diff, removing the carrier from the axle, then remove the carrier "guts" (aka spider gears) and replacing them with the locker. An average weekend mechanic should be able to accomplish this in an afternoon, its really not a bad install nor are any speciality tools required... this is what makes lunchbox lockers so grand!

oh yea, and lets not forget there is a tech article about this very thing on the main page:
Installing the POWERTRAX No-Slip

Here is what you need Link

For some reason it's not listed in the Isuzu D44 section <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

You might also look at the aussie locker. It's a bit cheaper, and I've heard good reviews. Look for the same application (D44 Trac-lock carrier)
