Getting the Wheeling Fever

I just got some 3in stainless exhaust pipe and a edelbrock turbo muffler for free i was wondering if i put this on my truck if i would lose alot of power. Basically all i do is drive to school 10miles away and pull my 14ft boat. Right now i have a lc header high flow cat 2in pipe into a 14in magnaflow. let me know what u guys think

Might help if you stated which motor you had...but it probably doesn't matter. Unless you have a turbo, the 3" pipe will be a bad idea that will hurt your bottom end power. Conventional wisdom is that a 22R or 22RE does best with 2.25" pipes. Not sure on the best for the 3.0 V6, but it's probably around 2.25"/side.
FWIW, the 22RTE does very well with 3" pipes.

ya i got the 22re i might just give it a try i mean ill save my old exhaust and fab the new one out of the free stainless 3in i got

Yikes - a 3" Exhaust on a non turbo 4 cylinder will hurt MPG/Torque and Horsepower pretty badly. I wouldn't even put it on to test it.
I just bought Magnaflows high flow cat, a Dynomax Glasspack (both 2" in/out) and Couldnt be happier with HP increase/mpg and Sound. If your gonna go the route of new exhaust, id say to go 2" - 2.25" Max

How is everyone having the Flowmaster mounted. I just purchase a 50 series and am not happy with the installation. I asked that they not hang it behind the back wheel and they did. Also, it seems to me that they use too small of a pipe behind the Flowmaster. They used the same as stock which I believe is 1-7/8.
