I painted my license light cover with black PlastiKote plastic paint after prepping with MarHyde Totalprep. It looked awesome for a while, but now is bubbling and flaking off. I was planning to use the same process on a faded roundeye grille, so I'm a little disappointed. Any experiences with these types of products? Maybe I should use a plastic primer first? Is there such a thing as a true "dye" available for plastics?

I don't know how well it would last over the long-term, or if it would even work for you at all - but there is a thread over at VehiCROSS.info where someone used a flexible bumper paint (Dupli-Color Bumper Coating) on their cladding - and the *immediate* results look fantastic... Link to ThreadIt might at least be worth looking into.

Wow that does look good. I'm probably going to try it on my moms VX. Her's got some kind of acid rain on it or something, so it needs it.

Those both look sharp but i know if you take some heavy grib sand paper get it nice and sanded so it will hold paint good you can pick some KRYLON spray paint at your local walmat for a couple clams and its always worked for me and im sure its a bit cheaper
