the jump from 35 to 37 is significant. 37" tires are heavy and your rig will feel it even with 529 gears. Big tires get old on a DD. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

ahh you got the national tire deal.

are you still ifs?

i dont think i'd run anything over a 36 on a DD, my friend got a set of claws also-im interested to see how they do i the snow. i think he misses his swampers already.

I run 37" MTR's w/ 5.29's. The jump from 35's to 37's (both MTR's) was noticable, but not bad (and my engine is probably pretty tired). They are good tires on the street. I don't know how the Claws would be, but my guess is not as good as the MTR's.

Roll Me Over
My cuz has a 88' 4runner with 37" SSR's.. with 5.29 gears in it it does just fine (for the slow beast it is) but he's running 4.10's right now (blew the bearings in the 5.29 pumpkin) and.. it's slow... 3rd gear on the highway.. but dang it's sweet. He's got a 3.0 tho, not 22re. I think it will be fine as long as you dont want to go much over 65mph. (if your motor is running strong)
